Description |
NSERC's portion of the tri-agency class grant Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) Program offers eligible Canadian postsecondary degree/diploma granting institutions the opportunity to turn their key strengths into world-leading capabilities and become global research leaders in research areas of strategic importance to Canada, including but not limited to: advanced manufacturing, the environment and agriculture, health and life sciences, information and communication technologies, and natural resources and energy. This program is necessary to help Canadian postsecondary institutions compete with the best in the world for talent and partnership opportunities, to make breakthrough discoveries, and to excel globally in research areas that will create long-term economic advantages for Canada. This program uses funding from the following transfer payment: Canada First Research Excellence Fund. |
